Select Board · Meeting of October 15, 2026

NORTON — The Norton Select Board approved an all-alcohol liquor license for Mike and Lenny's Bar Pizza and voted to disband its 13-year-old Alternative Transportation Committee. Attorney Jennifer Collins told the board applicant Jonathan Sergio, who runs four Mike and Lenny's pizza trucks across Massachusetts, would bring his bar pizza "to the sit-down restaurant setting." The board voted 3-0 to approve the license for the 4 Olympia Street location, which seats up to 50. Members also voted unanimously to disband the Alternative Transportation Committee, created in 2013 to oversee the now-completed rail trail, though MassDOT has not yet formally transferred the trail to the town.

The town manager reported $4.8 million in certified free cash, 80 percent of which board member Mr. O'Neil said is excise tax revenue rather than leftover budget funds, pending transfer to savings at Monday's Fall Town Meeting. The board also declared a 2013 school minibus with 156,344 miles surplus for public auction.
